Ebubekir Haz\u0131m Tepeyran (1864-1947): a descendant of Nigde\u2019s Murat Pasha, he was the son of Bekir Beyzade Hasan, director of Nigde Tahrirat. Nigde’de popularly called “Tepeyran\u201c, Yenice District\u201d Tepe-viran” because he was born in the district, took this name as a surname. He graduated from Ni\u011fde R\u00fcstiyeesi (high school). I’m glad I finished the same high school (1970)). Arabic Persian French, he learned private lessons. He served as a member of Parliament during the Republican period; he was elected as a member of Parliament for Nigde three times. Turkish, French poetry, memoir, Short Story, novel books have been published. His only novel, K\u00fc\u00e7\u00fck Pasha (1910), gained an important place in Turkish writing. Nabizade is the second novelist after Nazim’s novel \u201cKarabibik\u201d, which introduced the Anatolian village and the Turkish peasant into our literature. He has also written his memoirs. Tepeyran is the grandfather of journalist, writer and poet Oktay Akbal. He is known for his books and literary articles in Servet-I Fun\u00fcn Magazine and many published books.
